Lamont P. McPheron, MS, LPC
Lamont P. McPheron, author of The Mindfulness Handbook, co-founded the Integrated Mindfulness Institute (IMI) in Viroqua, Wisconsin in 2017. Before the establishment of IMI, Lamont was a presenter on mindfulness at corporate workshops, radio shows, personalized trainings, mental health lectures, and wellness retreats. In addition to his work at IMI, Lamont has been a continuing education instructor at the University of Wisconsin.
Lamont is a Tai Chi master, counselor, musical composer, and mindfulness skills instructor. He has over 25 years of experience in meditation, yoga, and Tai Chi. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology, and a Master of Science degree in mental health counseling. Lamont has lived in mindfulness centers in Colorado and Wisconsin for five years, and has taught Mindfulness-Based Anger Management to at-risk youth since the early 1990’s.
In The Mindfulness Handbook: A Guide to Developing Mental and Emotional Balance, Lamont shares his wide range of training, education, and expertise in the field of mindfulness.
