Mindflow Radio #47: The tao, our culture and growing up

These times in our culture are very curious as to what will happen next. But one thing for certain, the outcome does have alot to do with how much we can take responsibility for our minds and take on the needed training to get our mind to move into solution oriented, curious and creative ways. It is important to see eachother as sources of information and wisdoms, we each have our expertise. It is important to sort out the human from the soul voice and tune into each toher and the wisdoms we are offering. We have to receive as much as we have to offer. The balance must be found and maintained. We can't always give and we can't always take. That is a challenge these days, there is a feeling of everyone is already an expert and doesn't need anyone else to learn from and with. But there is always more to learn!

In this episode:

  • Go For A Walk by Lotus Head; Monte on bass and Jai Lynn on tambourine and vocals.

  • Conversation about "Tao Te Ching, Verse 7" with Jai Lynn McPheron, Lamont McPheron and Erin Swiggum, FNP-BC (Family Nurse Practitioner). Bringing together thoughts on selflessness, in service, taking care of ourselves, and finding balance. They spoke on the reality of maturity and contemplated further on what parts of the human being need to mature so we can have a level of detachment, compassion, and acceptance.

  • Timeless by Lotus Head; Monte on bass and Jai Lynn on harmonium and vocals.

  • Dare to Dream by Lotus Head; Monte on bass and Jai Lynn on cymbals and vocals.

Go For A Walk: Written on a day many years ago. Jai Lynn channelled a far off or recent Irish ancestor in finding a way to share the message of health and self care.

Go for a walk and breathe in fresh air
Turn off the screen, find a reason to care
Commit to your body and realize the challenge;
Observe the solution rests in healthy action!

Timeless: This chant is a super special chant to Jai Lynn.

Here is the chant:

Sat Siri, Siri Akaal, Siri Akaal, Maha Akaal, Maha Akaal, Sat Nam

Akaal Moorat, Wahe Guru, Akaal, Akaal (Truely great, timelessness, grand timelessness, truth my identity, timeless beyond death, celebrate moving out of the darkness, timeless, timeless)

And the English version written by Jai Lynn:

Pain is a message and wounds hold your pattern;
We are on purpose here now together.
Healing our minds and hearts;
Feeling our bodies and souls.
So far to go, timeless we flow.
Akaal, Akaal

Dare to Dream: One of the first songs that Monte and Jai Lynn ever wrote. Freshly falling in love and dreaming of all the things that could be possible. A quote from Yogi Bhajan, The impossible is possible, became the frame work for these lyrics.

The impossible is possible

Believe to Achieve

Relax to Receive.
